Remy is on Fire!
I posed Bar Mitzvah boy Remy on against a mural in Philadelphia's Italian Market. Since a car was blocking where I wanted to photograph, I used the reflection of the car to capture this cool portrait of Remy. When trying to get the flavor of the Italian Market, I was hoping to shoot some of the fires in the metal trash cans but there were none lit this day. But I was happy to find this great mural to lean Remy against and fire away! This was his first time in the market, and we really had a fun Get-to-Know-You session. He also got to enjoy a gelato and a cheesesteak from Geno's Steaks for the first time. He ran up the market streets a la Rocky Balboa and it was a fun moment to capture. Remy loves Rocky, and this was definitely a tribute session to the Italian Stallion. Remy's parents were close in tow and I captured them enjoying the day and being playful as well. This is one of my favorite sessions and I love being able to capture this time in a child's life. It also makes it so much easier for all the other portraits and the party, to have some connection with the child.Location: 930 S 9th St, Philadelphia, PA .
